Age is not a deterent to technology
Our Initial Action Plan - Referring to our cultural curriculum goals (CCG) we will examine current technology at WMS, evaluate its effectiveness, and find new resources we can incorporate to help us meet our CCGs
1st Essential Question - How do we use technology to reach our cultural curriculum and UbD planning goals?
Big Idea- Various technologies are essential tools for comunication, socialization, and global awareness
Transfer Goal- We want the students to be able to use technology so that in the long run they will be comfortable using those tools, and trying new forms of technology, to reach their potential as global citizens.

Betty Garner's Work - Topics of discussion:
- The importance of sorting (by color, size, shape, texture; asking children to suggest categories; allowing children to discover similarities and differences on their own)
- Use of "What do you see; what do you notice," with all age levels with various materials and topics - "Beautiful Thoughts" exercise, which led to Joyce's classroom activity becoming the class auction gift (See below) Ongoing discussion: - What is happening that expresses to us that children are or aren't "getting" the big ideas (in any curricular area or topic)? If they're not "getting it," what are the hurdles and how can we get over them? Are any of the hurdles embedded in Betty Garner's constructs?
